I restarted Life Drawing classes recently. I noticed that most people in my class sketch with a very limited motion of their hands. I think it is because we have all got used to working within the small circumference of our devices (both physically and mentally). So I took the opportunity to stand and utilise the movement of my whole body, making large gestural marks with my charcoal.
That’s what I would recommend:
Finding the opportunity to lift your head up and connect occasionally with the environment around you
